The SDI video signal carries 16 embedded audio channels* that can be listened to through the front speaker with the ability to select both the 4 groups and 4 AES channels via the GROUP and CHANNEL buttons.
The ROCKY III can be powered from 220V mains via an IEC connector (incorporating a switching-based power supply/battery charger using modern technology) or by a 12V NP-1 battery, the same used in broadcast cameras (not included in the supply) to be inserted
in a housing located at the base of the display.
With an NP-1 1700mA battery, the ROCKY III's autonomy is about 3h 30'.
Alternatively, it can be powered by connecting an external 12V source to the 4-pin XLR connector (the same used in broadcast cameras).
The ROCKY III images have excellent definition and brilliant colors within a wide viewing angle even in the presence of direct light coming from behind the operator.
It is possible to modify the type of operation of the ROCKY III by replacing the module located in the upper right part of the display.
Currently available is the standard module with analog composite CVBS video input and digital SDI with embedded audio.
On request we can supply a VHF/UHF DVB-T tuner module to use the Rocky III as a television.
The analog audio input signal can be balanced, with input on Cannon connector, or unbalanced with input on RCA-type connector.
The ROCKY III also has a headphone jack.
Adjustments and selections are digital type with pushbutton control.
On the front panel of the ROCKY III are allocated:
* The 16 embedded audio channels are divided into 4 groups each carrying two pairs of stereo channels
